Can ChatGPT or Claude book a home cleaner for you?

Yes. Add HomeMaster's MCP server and your assistant can check real prices and open times and set up the booking. You still confirm it and pay yourself.

Yes, with one set-up step. ChatGPT, Claude and other AI assistants that support remote Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers can connect to HomeMaster's server at homemaster.co/mcp. Once it is added, your assistant can check our prices, whether we cover your address and which times are really open, and then set the booking up for you. You still confirm the booking and pay for it yourself.

Without that connection, an assistant can only read web pages, and it may guess at prices or times. This guide explains what the connection is, how to add it, what your assistant can then do, and what always stays in your hands.

What an MCP server is, in plain words

The Model Context Protocol is an open standard for connecting AI applications to outside systems. The project's own site compares it to a USB-C port: one standard plug, so an assistant can connect to many services in the same way.

For you, the difference is practical. An assistant connected to our MCP server asks our booking system directly instead of reading pages and guessing. The open times it shows you are the live ones, and the price it quotes is worked out by the same rules our checkout uses.

HomeMaster is not listed in the ChatGPT or Claude app directories. You add it yourself, by its address, in a minute or two.

How to add HomeMaster to your assistant

The address is homemaster.co/mcp. In Claude, add it as a custom connector. In ChatGPT, add it as a connector in developer mode. Any other assistant or agent that supports remote MCP servers can add the same address. No key and no sign-in are needed.

Menus in these apps change from release to release, so we keep the up-to-date details, with examples, in our MCP server docs.

Then ask in plain words, the way you would ask a friend who is good with calendars:

  • "Is my postal code covered for home cleaning?"
  • "Find me a 3-hour one-off clean next Saturday morning and tell me the price."
  • "What does a regular clean every two weeks cost, and what is included?"

What your assistant can do once connected

Our server gives your assistant a short list of tools. In plain words, it can:

  • tell you what we sell, the options and the list prices
  • check whether we cover your Singapore postal code
  • find open dates, or one day's start times with each time's price
  • get the exact price our checkout will show, with any evening rate or public voucher
  • answer questions about our policies and what a clean includes, from our service guide
  • make a checkout link with your address and visit already filled in
  • send Helen's booking card to your WhatsApp for you to confirm (home cleaning only)
  • check where that booking request stands

The price it quotes is the one our checkout shows a new customer. An invite code or a returning-customer offer can only lower it.

Three ways to finish the booking

A booking card on your WhatsApp

With your agreement, the assistant asks for your WhatsApp number and sends us the visit. We send you Helen's booking card on WhatsApp with the date, your address, the clean and your price. Nothing is booked until you tap "Yes, book it" within 60 minutes. Helen then sends you a payment link.

The time is not held while you decide. If it has gone by the time you tap, Helen offers other times. This route is for home cleaning.

The assistant can instead give you a link to our checkout with your address looked up and the visit already chosen. You pick the start time, which is then held for 7 minutes while you finish. You confirm your phone with a 6-digit code sent to your WhatsApp, and you pay on our payment page. This route works for aircon servicing too.

If your assistant can only browse the web

Some assistants work by opening web pages and filling them in, like a person would. Our website checkout works for them too, and it is the backup when an assistant cannot connect to MCP. It is built for people, so it takes an agent more steps: a picked time is held for 7 minutes, and the phone code sent to your WhatsApp works for 5 minutes, so read it to your assistant quickly.

A simpler route for a browsing assistant is to send you a booking link with the visit filled in: your 6-digit postal code, the hours and how often. You open it, pick a time, confirm your phone and pay.

What always stays with you

However capable your assistant is, some steps are yours by design:

  • Confirming. Your tap on "Yes, book it", or finishing the checkout, is what books the visit.
  • Paying. Card and Google Pay work for every booking, and one-time bookings can also be paid by PayNow or Apple Pay. You pay on our page. Please do not share card details with an assistant.
  • Your phone. The WhatsApp tap or the 6-digit code proves the number is yours.
  • Checking the details. Every date our server returns comes with its weekday, and the card shows the date, address and price. Read them before you tap. Assistants, like people, can mishear "next Friday".
  • Changes to an existing booking. Rescheduling and cancelling happen with Helen on WhatsApp, not through the assistant.

Privacy: what gets shared

Our tools ask for a postal code and your booking choices, never a payment detail. The WhatsApp booking card also needs your WhatsApp number and unit number, and your name if you want to give it. We message that number about that request, and your name is saved to your profile only once you tap "Yes, book it".

The status check never returns your name, phone, address or cleaner. Keep personal details out of policy questions, since those are answered from our service guide and do not need them.

Remember that what you type to your assistant is also handled under that assistant's own terms. Our privacy policy covers what HomeMaster does with your information.

After you book

From here on, Helen, our AI assistant on WhatsApp, looks after the booking: reminders before each visit, receipts, rescheduling and questions, with no app to install. Our guide to booking a cleaner on WhatsApp walks through how that chat works. For every route an assistant can use, including our API for developers, see our page for AI assistants and developers.

Frequently asked questions

Does HomeMaster have an app inside ChatGPT or Claude?

No. HomeMaster is not listed in the ChatGPT or Claude app directories. Instead, you add our MCP server by its address, homemaster.co/mcp: in Claude as a custom connector, in ChatGPT as a connector in developer mode. No key or sign-in is needed.

Can my AI assistant pay for the cleaning for me?

No. Paying is always your step. The assistant can set up the booking and bring you to our payment page or send you Helen's booking card, and you pay by the link yourself. Card and Google Pay work for every booking; one-time bookings can also use PayNow or Apple Pay.

What does my assistant need from me to book a clean?

Your postal code with floor and unit number, the hours and how often you want the clean, a start time that suits you, and your WhatsApp number. Your name helps if you are new to us. Then you confirm on WhatsApp or finish the checkout and pay.

Can the assistant change or cancel my booking?

No. The MCP server only makes new bookings. To reschedule or cancel, message Helen on WhatsApp. She tells you plainly if a fee applies before anything is charged, and any fee is paid by a payment link, never taken silently from a saved card.
